  The house is just about 8 months old and it's falling apart, all the stone on the porch are falling off, the uneven floor is giving in, all the baseboards and "wood" doorframes throughout the house are actually fake wood particle board. They told us not to paint them... Every one of the 3 bathrooms were leaking within the first 2 months. No one installed p traps on any of the showers. They didn't even put screws in the shower handles- they fall right off when. They have screws and nails jutting from the corners of the fake particle board cabinets. The "vinyl" floors are worthless. In the attic, the crossbeams are used from what looks like recycled wood with juts and shards being used as full pieces of wood. The counter tops are fake. This house sucks.

  We bought the Koinonia last year, we moved in, in May of 2014. Now is August 2015. We had some major floor plan changes compared to their "standard floor plan". Deer Valley was very accommodating for most of our requests. We have a 5 bedroom, 3 bath, 2400sqft (2600sqft if you count the porch). The house is completely electric, even our water (it is a well). The highest electric bill in the summer has been $187. The highest in the winter was like $350, that being said, our pump shed for the well wasn't completely done last winter, so we had to keep heat lamps in it all winter. My wife's parents were also staying with us during that time, so they were home 24 hours a day. I think this winter, our highest bill will probably be around $200. I would definitely recommend deer valley but don't be afraid to ask for changes in the floor plan. Make the house the way you want it to be, you will be the one living there. If you pick the cheap options, expect cheap results. We took the kitchen and shower from the briarritz and had them put it in our house. We basically picked what we liked from all Deer Valley houses and had them put in our Koinonia. If your mobile home dealer doesn't act like he wants to work with these changes you want, find another dealer. Deer Valley has no problem making the changes that the customer requests.

  In 2014 we purchased the Briar Ritz. We fell in love with the look and were sold on the "solid" construction and energy efficiency. After our first winter we've quickly fallen out of love with our new home. We can not keep this home warm, the floors are constantly cold. Last month we had a $500 electric bill and froze our butts off. Deer Valley advertises this home as an energy efficient home, you'd think for the $240,000 price tag we would be able to stay warm. We're now in the process of spending an additional $15,000 to upgrade the floor insulation and heating system. Very disappointed!!!
